How to set up Outlook 2003 for Exchange email

These instructions applies to Exchange email/calendars/contacts hosted on the FITEX servers. It does NOT apply to email hosted on the MAILHOST server or SquirrelMail.

How to set up Outlook 2003 for Exchange email

  1. Open Outlook and the account setup process should start automatically. (If the account setup process does not automatically start, go to the tools menu and select the Email Accounts menu item. )
  2. Check the Add Email Account check box. Press Next.
  3. Select Microsoft Exchange Server. Press Next.
  4. Enter EXBE.FIT.EDU
  5. Enter your TRACKS user name in the user name field.
  6. Check the "Used Cached Exchange Mode" Checkbox.
  7. Click the more settings button at the bottom right of the current dialog box.
  8. Select the Connection tab.
  9. Check the box to "Connect to my Exchange mailbox using HTTP".
  10. Click the Exchange Proxy Settings Button
  11. Fill In the Settings EXACTLY as shown in the figure below:
  12. Press OK to close the two open windows.
  13. Press Finish. You are ready to begin using the Exchange Server with your TRACKS account.
